The Barnstable Amateur Radio Club sadly notes the passing of Ted Swanson, N1VBU.  Ted was a member, and past Secretary of the BARC.

BARC: PACKET WORKSHOP RESCHEDULED

The packet workshop scheduled for April 5, 2008 must be rescheduled, due to a conflict with the use of the class room.

An announcement will be made on this page, and an email will be sent to all Club members, and participants of the last workshop, when an alternate date is available.

3rd Annual Club Buffet

The Club will be having a buffet get together on March 29, 2008, at 12:00 NOON SHARP, at the Cape Cod Super Buffet, in West Yarmouth.

John Lough, K2JQC, Silent Key.

John Inglis Lough, BREWSTER — John I. Lough, 83, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Liberty Commons Skilled Care Center in North Chatham after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

BARC: REMINDER! PACKET RADIO WORKSHOP

The packet radio workshop will take place on March 1, 2008, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you are interested and have not signed up for the event, please do so now.

PLEASE NOTE! This workshop is at an advanced level, aimed at those who already have equipment, and can set it up for the class.

We are planning an introductory class on April 5, 2008, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., if you don't have the gear, this is the one for you.

Use the "Contact Us" link at the end of the previous packet workshop article if you have any questions.

BARC: PACKET RADIO WORKSHOP!

The Barnstable Amateur Radio Club, in conjunction with Cape Cod ARES, is planning to host a Packet Radio training session on Saturday, March 1, 2008. The session would run from 9:30 in the morning, until 2:30 in the afternoon. Location is the Red Cross Chapter House, on South Street, in Hyannis.
