Scouting Summer Science Event July 19 14:00-16:00


BARC will be participating in this event at Camp Greenough in Yarmouthport. Members will guide scouts through Morse Code using code oscillators.

Brooks Park Crafts Festival July 11-12

Once again, BARC will be operating at this event on Oak Street (corner Rt.39) in Harwich.

There will be set-up activity on Friday (10) and operating Saturday and Sunday.  This is an opportunity to practice HF operating skills, gain exposure for BARC and for amateur radio, and have fun with fellow hams.

Dave Birtwell Walk for Alzheimer's May 16

Joint event with FARA (Falmouth).  
 

We provide communication support for a 1-mile walk along the Cape Cod Canal in Bourne for this Alzheimer's Family Support Center. event.

Walkers are people with Alzheimer's and their support persons..

International Marconi Day Saturday April 25

This is the annual recognition of Marconi's birthday. Barbara N1NP has a group operating from the Marconi Site in Wellfleet.  She is well-staffed except for setup (~0730) and teardown (~1600).  All are welcome to observe and to help with meeting and greeting. Russ K1RTA will be operating from his home QTH in Wellfleet.  He will have 3 or 4 stations going, and invites us to stop by and participate 1000-1600.

Scouting Beaver Day / Ham Radio Open House

BARC will be operating at Camp Greenough (227 Pine Street, Yarmouthport) on Saturday April 11 from 1 to 5 PM, using the Scout station. This is Beaver Day, a day to prepare the camp for Spring and summer activities, so there will be many scouts available to attend.

Harwich Cranberry Festival 9/13-14

 

We have a great, visible location near the rest rooms and food service.  

Another opportunity to help set up and break down a temporary station, operate on HF, hone operating skills, meet and greet the public, and have fun with your fellow hams.  We will need several people on-site at all times, so please join us.

National Lighthouse Weekend

Thanks to Ross KE5BM, we will be operating from Chatham Light again this year.  We always get a lot of interest from people passing by (it's a beautiful, popular location).
